Bangs (hair)

From Haircentric.com

A fringe in hairstyling is the front part of the hair cut to hang or curl over a person's forehead. Fringes are more commonly found on females than on males. However, as long hair becomes more popular among teens, many boys have begun to grow long fringes as well.

The term bangs is usual only in North American English; other English-speaking countries use the term fringe.

The type of fringe that is becoming more popular in American teenagers called a side bang, a type of long fringe that sweeps over the eye, covering it.

Many people wear short fringes in different styles. Two more common ways:

  • Letting the short fringe hang over the forehead.
  • Sweeping it to the side, similar to the side bang, except that it does not cover the eye.
